The second show....I mean debate

I am guessing, if you are reading this, that you know I don't like Hillary Clinton OR Donald Trump.  I actually think both of them are evil and neither is really a better person or candidate than the other.  In fact, for that reason, I have heard people say they are not watching the debates, but I cannot NOT watch these things!  The whole circus that was the second debate was nothing short of an entertaining verbal mud-slinging game.  As I sat, watching the debate on TV, I found myself literally laughing out loud...even though I was at home alone.

At one point, I verbally blurted WHAAAATTT?  Right away, I think I started a war on my Facebook page and probably made everyone I know mad.  But WOW!  Trump is a brave man!  He called Hillary out for her emails again, as we all expected, but he also said if he becomes president that he is going to hire a special prosecutor to look into all of Hillary's dealings.  He later talked over her and said she belongs in jail!

Trump then resumed doing that weird nose-breathing thing right into the microphone, like he did last debate.  That distracted me from what he was saying, but I did try to get past it to hear what he had to say about the video released a couple days ago where he basically showed how big of a sexist pig he is.  I always say nothing will surprise me with these two, but he actually did slightly surprise me; he seemed calm, cool, and collected.  Maybe something kept him calm that also made him breath heavily through his nose?  So he defended himself, but let's face it-did anyone expect anything ELSE from him than what we heard in the video?  He is like a 14 year old boy who is obsessed with looks and all surface-level defining traits.

And I am guessing Bill helped coach Hillary before the debates, because when people in the audience asked her anything, she got up, walked towards the person, and all the sudden looked human and kind.  If I didn’t know her record, I almost would have believed the words coming out of her mouth.  She kept insisting Trump was lying and directing people to go to her website, so I finally did.  Once I got past the pop-up about donating money to her (to which, if you didn't expect it, I declined), I looked at the fact-checking.  The majority of the “fact-checking” was surface-level defining traits that the Clinton campaign pointed out disparities.  (What was noticeably missing was anything about her emails or her record in the government, because to my surprise, he was correct in most of what he said.)

All in all, I would say that this debate went a little better than the last one, but mostly just because the candidates ACTUALLY discussed their stances a bit.  If only the third party candidates were involved, we would have actually heard about plans and platforms rather than mud-slinging and stances but no details of the plans to get to where they want.

I think it is important for people to know their options and each candidate’s stances so I am doing my fifth show Tuesday about this debate.  I will recap the answers to the questions shown on TV for those who did not watch and I will tell everyone Jill Stein responds to these same questions.  And just to give you a teaser, the last question was the best one of the night, so if you did not watch, you need to listen to my next show!

Please join me this Tuesday, October 11, at 7pm Eastern.
